This year we are planning to issue the Russian-English version of the illustrated book "Space and Bliss", published in German and English in 2004 by a Buddhist publishing house of Wuppertal (Germany) (("Raum & Freude, Space & Bliss").
The book contains colored reproductions of 185 statues as well as other ritual objects, unique in style and inspiring by their beauty. Estimated number of copies in Russia - 1500. Format - 23 õ 23 sm. 240 pages. The book is aimed at a wide readership, it is written in a clear and understandable way. It includes a variety of colored pictures and detailed descriptions of all images. The introduction gives a broad review of the Buddhist teaching and of the symbolism of Buddhist statues, accessible for both Buddhists and non-Buddhists. The album also contains unique and rare information about different styles in Buddhist art and its spread in different countries; about the process of statue production; about Buddhist symbolism and about the meaning of Buddha-aspects and ritual objects.
